Hello, my name is Yan. I am writing this because my mom and I desperately needed help. Especially, I lost my dad in the same month when my mom found out diagnosed with cancer. 

In January 2020, my mom started feeling back hurt. She went to see several doctors and wants to find out why. In April of 2020, after several examinations, we found out that my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. The cancer cells have already spread all over her body and even breaks her backbones. That's why she is starting to have back hurt. Since then, my mom started the chemotherapy, and she had two radiation treatments already with her back and brain. Next week she will start another radiation treatment on her eyes. Because cancer had spread to her eyes, and she may lost her vision.

We were forced to sell our properties to maintain the daily expenses. However, house debt and hospital bills created massive pressure on us, even with the health insurance. 

After my mother was diagnosed with cancer, I transferred to OU from my original school to take care of her. I am still an undergraduate at the University of Oklahoma. Due to the COVID pandemic, I cannot take the risk of working. My mom's immune system was destroyed by cancer, and I cannot let her take the risk of COVID infection from me. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a full scholarship for my tuition.  

We have lost income, and financial pressures are just too enormous that we have to ask for help with any donation that you could spare.
